I’m a writer and consultant specializing in editorial strategy based in New York City. I help marketing and communications teams develop and execute engaging content, such as books, articles, blogs, reports, and videos. Whether the task is to pen a feature article or develop a new content platform, my goal is the same: to attract and inform target audiences through carefully crafted messaging that supports an organization’s strategic objectives.
My background is in journalism and copywriting. I was on the launch team as a staff reporter for Condé Nast Portfolio magazine and its website, Portfolio.com. I’ve also written for Forbes, AOL’s DailyFinance, Advertising Age, Coastal Living, the Hong Kong Bureau of the Associated Press, South Carolina’s Spartanburg Herald-Journal, Newsday, Time Out Chicago, the professional truck driver’s magazine Road King, Sophisticate’s Black Hair Styles and Care Guide, Complete Woman and North Shore magazine. Before jumping into journalism, I wrote TV commercials and other types of ads for brands including Red Lobster, Summer’s Eve and Orville Redenbacher.
More recently, as an editorial strategy and content creation professional, I have enjoyed assisting in the writing and editing of the book Users, Not Customers by Aaron Shapiro, CEO of digital agency HUGE, as well as articles published in McKinsey Quarterly, Fast Company, Digiday, Advertising Age, Adweek, as well as many other publications. In my spare time, I teach an op-ed writing workshop for the Human Rights Advocates Program of the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University.
